Iceman Series 3 Run Finishes With Top Runners Making A Wrong Turn

Adam Shaw and Norm Weiskopf may have been our top two finishers had they stayed on the route.  But as fate would have it on this run their mistake gave Ali Sareshteh, Lucian Rawlings and Bob Thompson an opportunity to pull ahead of them for a first, second and third place finish.  The consultation for Adam and Norm is that within their Age Bracket the points series results are still looking pretty good for each of them.
In front of the Office Bar and Grill just before the run started.  44 runners participated in this Iceman Series 3 run.

The temperature was perfect for a winter run but the wind was a factor on the Wabash Trail. Still all the runners set good times on their pace compared to prior runs.

Here are the results sorted by age group and overall.  Points have been assigned.  Look for another post later this week with the combined points series results.

The next run is a 15K (9.32 miles) and 5 mile run/walk.  The location will be determined this week.

NEWS: In case you missed the news.  Next week the SRRC is hosting a group run next Saturday morning (1/18) with Born To Run author Chris McDougall who will be the keynote speaker at their annual meeting that evening.  The run starts at 9am at the Hilton Lobby on Adams St. You will need to be a member of SRRC or sign a waiver according to the Halfwits website.

Have a great couple of weeks!
