Looks like we are going to have a bit of a warm up ;-) for Saturday morning. At 9am the Weather.gov forecast has the temp at 12 degrees positive. Only 4 mph wind but the wind chill will be in the single digits making it dangerous if you aren't dressed appropriately. Let's hope for turn up to warmer conditions by Saturday morning.
Be prepared by dressing in layers, have the proper head gear and gloves and you need to keep your feet dry by wearing waterproof shoes (trail shoes) or put a layer of plastic between two pairs of socks to keep your feet dry.

It covers many roads we've run before but there are sections where you will need to run with caution. Please study carefully and have a strategy for those sections that will keep you safe. The most challenging might be the Sangamon Valley Trail, depending on how much snow is still on it.
I will have a course marshal at the 12K and 16K water stops and they will need a thumbs up sign from you as you pass those points. Safety first.
The Snowman loop is an 11K. Here's the route: www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=535432
We've had a great series of runs so far. Let's look forward to this Saturday to celebrate the conclusion of our first Winter running series!
See you at Coz's Pizza. Start time is 9am.
