Coz's Pizza turned out to be a great place to finish the series. Plenty of room for us and good food! The weather was pretty good at the start but for a 20K the wind picking up at the end made it a challenge. Trevor Orthman once again proved his worth as an Iceman by finishing first. Second goes to Adam Shaw and third to Ali Sarreshteh. On the Women's side Heather Rauscher finished first with Ashley Snavely and Denise Figeroa finishing 2nd and 3rd.
The points awards were given out and it all seemed a fitting end to our first winter running series in Springfield. I congratulate everyone for participating even for one event. You all can consider yourself an original "ICEMAN".
Thanks to the 72 runners who participated in one or more the events to be a part the "Iceman Series!"
Here are the results of the 20K and the Point Series:

I want to thank all the Restaurant/Bar's who made this series possible: The Corner Pub, Long Bridge Golf Course Bar and Grill Room, The Office Bar and Grill, The Brickhouse and Coz's Pizza.
The volunteers who helped plan and implement this series are Emily Bernardes and Suzannah Bartos. Without their help and encouragement I could not have gotten this series started. Other race day volunteers who helped with course management, registration and post event organizing are Barb Manson, Kert McAfee, David Haaker and Kimee Armour.
Also special thanks goes out to Seth Perlman and his wife for being a course marshal at the Lewis Memorial Acres Trail section on Series 4 run. Seth also took a few photos of the early runners as they approached the trail. Here's a link to those photos.
